The existing fresh food precinct at Chirnside Park lacked identity and a sense of place.
The intention for the Market Hall was to create ambience through an inviting environment, encouraging customers to linger. Elements such as natural light, planting and raw materials were the governing theme throughout.
Creating an appropriate lighting environment while still maintaining the industrial, warehouse-feel with dark exposed ceilings. We needed to find a balance between staying true to the design concept while also ensuring the space was still functional and felt inviting.

Outcomes
The Market Hall has been a success since its opening. The upgrade has generated refreshed activity through the precinct as well as the entire Centre. A once dated and unexciting space is now a destination point for customers.
